Governor Gina Raimondo talks about Invenergy’s $1 billion fracked gas and diesel oil burning power plant aimed at the heart of the forests of northwest Rhode Island in an interview with Katherine Gregg from the ProJo:

“Listen to what she is saying now about the proposed Burrillville power plant that she once supported: ‘This isn’t, in my estimation, an issue of not-in-my-backyard. These people are really afraid. They are really afraid [for] their kids, their water.’

“Of her early support for the gas-fired plant, she said: ‘That was a very long time ago.'”
