The dates for the Energy Facilities Siting Board (EFSB)’s final hearings on Invenergy‘s proposed $1 billion fracked gas and diesel oil burning power plant aimed at the pristine forests of northwest Rhode Island have been set, with hearings beginning in late July and ending on Halloween.

Before we get there, though, two dates have been set for pre-trial motions, April 11 and 26. It is possible that one of these will be cancelled if there are not enough motions to fill two days.

The EFSB schedules its hearing non-consecutively, based on the schedules of the three board members. Opening statements will be heard on July 19, then the rest of the hearings will be heard on the following dates:

July 24, 25, and 26

August 15, 16, 21,22, and 23.

September 4, 5, 6, 12, 18, 20, 26, 27

October 10, 16, 17, 30, 31

I’ll be covering as many of these hearings as I am able to.
