Pizza and Politics with Providence City Council Ward 13 candidates

Rachel Miller, Leslie Papp II and Cyd McMenna

Three of the four candidates for Providence City Council, Ward 13, were at Pizza and Politics at Federal Hill Pizza on Chalkstone Avenue Tuesday evening. Candidates Rachel Miller, Leslie Papp II and Cyd McMenna attended, Raymond Berarducci III did not. The event was moderated by the owner of the restaurant, Billy Manzo. In the first video, Manzo introduces the candidates. After that, I try to summarize the questions.

Update:

I was a little disappointed that my question on fossil fuel projects in Providence was left on the table.

What are some of the things you will do once elected?

Who did you consult with when you decided to run for office?

Tell me one of your strengths and one of your weaknesses.

What made you move to Ward 13, and what made you stay?

What are some of the things you’re thinking of to benefit small businesses in the City.

Crime.

Can you talk about your work in the community and how that will affect your work going forward?

A series of quick and “fun” questions ended the event.
