As the Haitian community grows in Rhode Island, New Bridges for Haitian Success sees an opportunity to educate the Providence community. This year we are asking you to join our 2nd Annual Fundraising Dinner to support our programs and mission.  It will also help youths back in Haiti by sending more children to school and providing scholarships, uniforms, notebooks, pens, pencils, teaching materials & much-needed medical supplies.

The New Bridges for Haitian Success 2nd Annual Fundraising Dinner will be held at the Imperial Room at One Rhodes Place in Cranston RI on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM EDT

There will be live performance, poetry, art, drums, silent action, along with comments from speakers Lieutenant Governor Daniel McKee, President Peter Marino from Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, Executive Editor the Providence Journal Alan Rosenberg, Superintendent Providence Public Schools Christopher Maher, and Jim Vincent, President of the NAACP Providence Branch.

We also will be providing three Rhode Island based Haitian youths scholarships to go to college.

New Bridges for Haitian Success congratulates Congressman Jim Langevin, Grace Gonzalez, Steve Ahlquist, and Cheryl Burell for being recognized for their generous support towards the Haitian community over the years with the Legacy Community Impact Award. They are trusted leaders and understand the unique quality and strengths of our beautiful state.

We have a strong track record of proven successes for so long and so many people, and accountability of showing the donors where their funds have gone.

We have been able to establish and maintain a strong, reliable partnership with the Haitian community of Belle-Anse (a town of 158,000 citizens, 1 doctor, and 2 nurses). After the devastation of Hurricane Matthew, we were able (due to the generosity of the Rhode Island community) to provide much needed food and supplies to those affected by the disaster.

We are in the process of BUILDING a medical clinic to help alleviate the strain in Belle-Anse, which currently only has one clinic available. In contrast, our local Providence, Rhode Island community (a city of 179,219 citizens) has access to more than a DOZEN clinics and hospitals, not including access to private care.

This is the reason we are asking YOU to support us, so our ideas and mission will not die.

Looking forward to seeing you at one of our favorite events of the year!
