Tonight at the Wild Colonial Tavern (250 S Water St, Providence, RI) Uprise RI, Rhode Island Working Families Party, Aaron Regunberg, David Segal, Providence City Councilmember Rachel Miller, and many other friends are kicking off a new generation of the old Rhode Island tradition Drinking Liberally – or as we’re calling it now in 2019, Left Drinking.

This a great place to bring new ideas and strategies for creating a more inclusive, more socially just world.

“When I was getting started in local organizing and politics, there was one event that I always looked forward to: Drinking Liberally, a monthly opportunity for progressive Rhode Islanders to gather over a beer,” writes co-host Aaron Regunburg. “Drinking Liberally was where I met many activists I’ve been lucky to work with for over a decade.”

Not a fundraiser, no agenda, no pressure – just like-minded folks building community after a long week of fighting for a Rhode Island that works for everyone. Future events may have cool guest speakers, but let’s start off simple.
