Jason Roias is running for Providence City Council for the seat currently occupied by Nicholas Narducci, who is finishing up his third term in office. Roias, 22-years old, made his announcement for his campaign in Ward 4 at Hopkins Square, a small park in the North End of Providence.
“At City Hall I will fight for policies that prioritize working class families and our most vulnerable neighbors,” said Roias. “This means we are not – we are not, we are not, we are not – going to give tax breaks to wealthy developers in downtown.”
Present at the announcement was Representative Moira Walsh (Democrat, District 3, Providence), Democratic candidate for governor Paul Roselli, candidate for Mayor of Providence Kobi Dennis and candidate for Providence City Council Ward 8, Deya Garcia.
