Woonsocket Pride 2022 an occasion for joy and resilience
“Woonsocket Pride 2021 was a beautiful, powerful, historic day. Hundreds of people gathered for the first-ever pride celebration in our city's history,” said Alex Kithes, Rebuild Woonsocket’s Executive Director and a member of the LGBTQ+ community. “In a city where our community is almost never represented at decision-making tables, this event is really significant - not only as a celebration, but as a statement.”

"So many of our community, including our allies, have reached out to us support us in flying their own flags... The United Congregational Church literally - I watched them install a flagpole this morning to fly it for us. And if you go just down south of the commons, just past the Art Cafe, a private citizen also got so mad that they bought a flag pole and will be flying the flag that's supposed to be on the town hall for the entire month of June. That is the Little Compton that I know and love."
