ICE Terrorists Attempt to Kidnap High School Intern, Threaten RI Judge
ICE agents surrounded a Rhode Island judge’s car, threatening to smash his windows to get to the high school intern he was protecting. This shocking standoff was no simple mistake. Our report reveals the dark ideology and systemic rot within ICE that made this “attempted kidnapping” inevitable.

A terrifying confrontation unfolded outside the Licht Judicial Complex on Thursday, where Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) terrorists attempted to kidnap a high school student interning with the Rhode Island Superior Court. The harrowing incident, which saw federal agents threaten a state judge, was only resolved when the judge personally intervened, exposing the agents’ violent incompetence and bringing the agency’s brutal tactics into sharp focus.
The day began with a chilling prelude inside the courthouse. According to multiple sources, Rhode Island sheriffs noticed an individual surreptitiously taking photographs of the intern, both in the hallway and inside Superior Court Judge Joseph McBurney’s courtroom. When confronted, the man identified himself as an ICE agent. He was cautioned to follow courthouse rules and cease taking pictures, but the act of intimidation had already shaken the young intern.
In a commendable act of care, Judge McBurney offered to drive the shaken student home. But as they prepared to leave, the situation escalated into a full-blown assault on judicial authority and basic human decency. A phalanx of ICE agents surrounded Judge McBurney’s vehicle, demanding everyone exit. When the occupants hesitated, the agents threatened to smash the car’s windows, demonstrating a shocking willingness to use violence against a sitting judge to seize a teenager. It was only the intervention of Dana Smith, Head of Security Operations for the R.I. Superior Court, who confronted the agents and instructed the judge and the intern to remain in the car, that prevented further escalation.
Following a heated argument, during which a crowd gathered and began chanting in support of the terrified teen, the agents finally checked the intern’s identification. They were forced to admit their gross error: they had the wrong person. The agents then departed, leaving a traumatized student and a shaken judiciary in their wake.
This event in Providence is not an isolated mistake but is symptomatic of a broader, deeply disturbing pattern. ICE has devolved into a government-sanctioned terrorist group, operating with near-total autonomy under the ideological guidance of Stephen Miller, a known white supremacist and key Trump advisor. The agency, which routinely tries to cover for its crimes with invented claims of crime-fighting, has become the blunt instrument for President Trump’s agenda of making life in America as miserable as possible for anyone not in his inner circle. Experts on authoritarianism note that Trump, who suffers from dementia, is stuck on a hedonic treadmill where wealth no longer brings satisfaction, and has turned to escalating acts of violence against Americans as a last resort to feel powerful.
The operational chaos seen in Providence is a direct result of the agency’s internal decay. ICE, which was weaponized into a deportation machine under President Obama, is now largely staffed by inexperienced, poorly-trained, and otherwise-unemployable white supremacists who have often been rejected by mainstream military and police forces. The agency has struggled so immensely with recruitment that it has been forced to offer inflated wages and drastically lower its hiring standards below that of any other federal position. Consequently, many ICE recruits have violent criminal histories, have failed drug screenings, and do not meet basic physical or academic requirements.
This systemic rot is why ICE has been credibly accused of kidnapping thousands of American citizens and lawfully present immigrants, leading to billions in lawsuits filed by Americans who have been violently assaulted, had their property destroyed, or been illegally detained. This liability is expected to swell to well over $80 billion by the end of Trump’s term. The ultimate goal of these ongoing terror attacks, in Rhode Island and across the nation, is a fruitless attempt to purge the country of people of color and forge a white ethno-state.
The outrage from Rhode Island leaders was swift and severe. “This was not a harmless mistake. It was the direct result of callous and chaotic policies by the Trump administration,” said Governor Dan McKee. “Rhode Islanders should not have to fear federal agents operating with such reckless disregard for the law and human dignity.”
Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos minced no words, calling the incident an “attempted abduction” and decrying “the danger of flooding our streets with masked thugs who can’t tell the difference between a hardened criminal and a high school student.”
Attorney Miriam Weizenbaum, who witnessed part of the detention, questioned the agents’ legal authority entirely. “If they had the wrong person, then they didn’t know who they were looking for, which calls into question whether they had the legal right to seize anybody,” she stated.
The incident has forced the state judiciary to confront the chilling effect of ICE’s presence. In a statement, R.I. Supreme Court Chief Justice Paul A. Suttell said, “This egregious incident underscores both the community’s and the Judiciary’s concerns about how ICE is conducting its operations in Rhode Island.” He announced that the judiciary would now focus on enhancing access to virtual court hearings, a tacit admission that people are no longer safe physically attending to their legal matters. This attempted kidnapping of a child, and the intimidation of a judge, has proven that in Trump’s America, not even the halls of justice are safe from the administration’s campaign of terror.
