Party for Socialism and Liberation holds anti-war rally in Providence

The Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) joined with almost 300 other anti-war organizations to hold rallies across the country on Saturday to "demand an end to Washington's endless wars" and "to demand money for people's needs - not war!" The media mostly ignored the events in Washington D.C., where thousands marched for peace in the Ukraine on the 20th anniversary of the United States invasion of Iraq.

In Providence, around two dozen people gathered on the south steps of the State House the to call or an end to endless war. Speakers from the PSL, Direct Action for Rights and Equality (DARE) and the Rhode Island Anti-War Committee spoke passionately about the wasted resources the country devotes to militarism, and the need to avoid nuclear war with Russia.
