THREAD: Resist Marxism has announced a rally in Providence, RI, for April 6, 2019.

This will to be a violent event attended by hate groups-- the Proud Boys and the American Guard.

How do I know?

Because that's exactly how it went on October 6, 2018. pic.twitter.com/oDOu8g6fTY

2/ First, before I get to the violence of the individual organizers, some background on the groups attending.

In May 2018, leaked chats revealed Resist Marxism's ties to the neo-Nazi Patriot Front and their sharing antisemitic memes inside a private chat. https://t.co/9SKtYtUmpn

3/ The Proud Boys are an @splcenter-designated hate group responsible for attacks on protesters on 10/6/18 in Providence, 10/12/18 in Manhattan, and countless such incidents in the Pacific Northwest since 2017. https://t.co/Xhyk9mY0wR

4/ The American Guard are a rebranding of the neo-Nazi Vinlanders Social Club, a skinhead crew founded by Brien James, former KKK and co-founder of the Outlaw Hammerskins.

The @ADL calls them "hardcore white supremacists." https://t.co/6Fkgb6GKqu

5/ And these groups have deep ties to each other.

This is Brien James, founder of the American Guard, admitting that he's the head of the Indiana Proud Boys. pic.twitter.com/MIpbchuyer

6/ Note that even James claims to have left the white nationalist movement, he's still wearing a Hammer of Thor, a symbol often appropriated by white nationalists. pic.twitter.com/UP32VEdUog

7/ And he's also tied to Resist Marxism.

This is Brien James at an American Guard meetup in Boston on February 9, 2019.

In the green pullover and jeans is Resist Marxism organizer Mark Sahady.

On the far-right is New Hampshire American Guard President John Camden. pic.twitter.com/9BrPb9sLJp

8/ Camden joined Resist Marxism to attack attendees at the Boston Women's March this year. In the video below, you can see Camden (black helmet with red spatters) attacking a rally-goer at 0:10. https://t.co/jxIdrUdCGY

10/ Camden was also present at the Resist Marxism rally in Providence on 10/6/18.

In the video below, you can see him armed with a club, screaming, "I will fucking kill you," at a crowd of counterprotesters.

11/ In the screenshot below, taken from a January 2018 livestream with Proud Boy Tiny Toese, you can see Camden's neo-Nazi "Wolfangel" neck tattoo. pic.twitter.com/paB30qFcEj

12/ The organizers are hoping to bring Tiny Toese out from the Pacific Northwest as a celebrity guest for the 4/6/19 rally in Providence. https://t.co/38YlaivO7T

— AntiFash Gordon (@AntiFashGordon) February 20, 2019

13/ Tiny has a long history of violence.

In May 2018, Toese, along with Proud Boy Donovan Flippo, attacked a Black teenager at a mall in Vancouver, Washington. https://t.co/n9vH8g5QJD

— AntiFash Gordon (@AntiFashGordon) February 20, 2019

15/ Resist Marxism also has ties to the neo-Nazi Patriot Front, whose members were recently arrested for carrying weapons and assaulting a police officer in a POC neighborhood in East Boston. https://t.co/plrtyxBFpt

17/ The lead organizer of the April 6 rally is Alan Swinney, a 4th Degree Proud Boy with a long history of violence.

18/ Here's a photo of Swinney strangling a protester at the 10/6/18 Providence rally.

Swinney also has a history of family violence charges for strangling a family member, as well as violating a protective order. pic.twitter.com/Dy2DSNh1kw

— AntiFash Gordon (@AntiFashGordon) February 20, 2019

19/ These groups-- Resist Marxism, the Proud Boys, and the American Guard-- have a documented history of violence and ties to hate groups.

If they are allowed to rally in Providence on April 6, they will attack protesters.

That's exactly what they did on October 6, 2018.

— AntiFash Gordon (@AntiFashGordon) February 20, 2019

20/ The state won't save us.

In October, the cops let them cross a police line to walk into a crowd of protesters, where they attacked people.

So what can we do?

— AntiFash Gordon (@AntiFashGordon) February 20, 2019

21/ For today, I need you to pressure @Fundly to cancel Tiny Toese's fundraiser to attend the Providence rally.

Tiny is using the money to come to Providence specifically to attack protesters.https://t.co/38YlaivO7T

22/ And watch this account.

For the next month, I'll be dropping the names and employment information of people who have marked themselves as "Going" to the public Facebook event.

I need you to call their employers and let them know that Providence doesn't tolerate hate.

— AntiFash Gordon (@AntiFashGordon) February 20, 2019

23/ We need to tell them in no uncertain terms that if they're going to attend a violent rally and attack the people of Rhode Island, there's going to be consequences.

Say no to racism, fascism, and hate groups in Providence.

¡No pasarán!
❤️?✊
